i'm not having that problem. I load Howard Stern shows that are 5 hours long and they get bookmarked OK. Shut it off, start back at same place.

If I just shut it off then it starts back in the same place but what if you play a different file or switch to playing music. How do you get back to the place in the show that you left from?

Please try Astro Player. It has advanced bookmarking functionality for better audiobooks and podcasts support. Astro Player is available on the Android Market. It's still in beta and could be unstable. However, it's free during beta period. Any suggestions or opinions are welcomed. More info at www.astroplayer.com/forum

We use pause and back buttons in order to stop the app. If this is not convenient for you, let us know and we will add direct close process functionality (i.e. the exit button in the menu)
