Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Platterpus
When your young it's not hard to be entertained even by the most tacky of movies. It's just to see how ones mindset/tastes changes as you get older. Here's a few of my sour flicks: The ...

Horror flicks like Friday the 13ths. Watched a bunch as a kid but wouldn't want to spend any more time on 'em. I still like a good, really scary movie but I appreciate atmosphere, beauty, philosophy... more complex or just a better context these days. In Horror, something like some of the better Hammer films or even a mystery like Hound of Baskervilles is more my "thing" these days.

I couldn't wait to get "North Dallas Forty" on DVD when it came out. I loved that film, I hadnt seen it in over 20 years. I bought the day it was released, watched it, and thought wtf?, I actually liked that at one time? It went to the used DVD store the next day! LOL

The Wizard Of Oz....just burned out on it. Guess growing up in the 60's spoiled it for me. Maybe if I were to pull of a Rip Van Winkle.......

Most of the mindless action movies of Stallone, Chuck Norris, Segal and others of that type, still enjoy the Bruce Lee movies though.

Tommy. I saw it in the theater more than once when it was released. When I rented the dvd, I found it so horrible I couldn't even watch the entire thing.

Star Wars in general....Its aging I guess, but strangely enough Star Trek that seemed to age a long time ago, is actually somehow watchable, maybe its the humor or just fun of it.

what I like, is that I can watch movies I wouldn't have had time for when I was much younger.
