Haven't seen it on here yet. So here we go:
Synopsis (Spoilerfree)

As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible to us except for the power they exert over us in our sleep. These two groups battle for our souls through our dreams. One force supports our hopes and gives ...
I just watched this film and I thought it was fantastic from a story, art direction and soundtrack perspective. The cinematography is engaging and the acting is well above par for an indie film in this budget range. Even the fight scenes feel like they have much more energy that most Hollywood films (especially the first fight scene, some great shots) and for the most part, you can actually tell...
Just a head's up... this film just hit the #1 spot on the Pirate Bay's top 100 with over 100,000 downloads in 48 hours.
While everyone in our industry knows that pirating is theft, it is something that can't be avoided. IF you happen to watch a downloaded version, be sure to do your part and support the filmmakers.
This project was funded by the filmmakers and a small investment group. ...
This film just went from a #14,000+ rating to #16 in IMDB's Moviemeter...
Currently, over 400,000 downloads... this film has managed to get the same, if not better exposure than Paranormal Activity - without the distribution deal and mega-budget marketing machine.
This is proof to me that if you want to make a film, and you have a great story, you can find an audience.
"Goodbye ...
Once it hits iTunes, I'm all over this one. They should maybe think about renting on iTunes as well. They can get that short bit of straggler cash for people on the fence. Itunes rentals saved me from buying some really awful movies.
I'm happy they're getting more exposure...
but 400,000 downloads is just that...400,000 downloads - it says nothing about the quality of the film or the degree to which people enjoyed it etc...
and just because a film is independent doesn't mean it deserves support...it would be better if there were simply more opportunities for film makers to get their work out to potential audiences......

True.
But this is a truly good independent film, so yes, it does deserve our support. Personally, I think most indie films are near unwatchable. Ink starts a bit slow, but when it picks up, its pretty engaging.
The reason it ...
I couldn't finish the trailer, it looked like a low budget episode of the outer limits and the acting made me feel embarrassed for the actors. The idea sounded quite interesting though.
I agree with arctor, 400k downloads doesn't mean anything. People that regularly download torrents will download it because it's 'free' and because they haven't spent any money on it they're less likely to ...
I think a very good way to **** up a low budget movie is by adding glow glare flare
I couldn't finish the trailer either
I've heard this before: low budget doesn't mean bad acting, directing or vfx.
INK - Just jumped to #14 overall on IMDB MovieMeter as well as #3 Action, #5 Fantasy, and #7 for Sci-Fi Film. I love this... for a film with no real marketing budget, it's sitting right below "This Is It". Screen Cap .

The creators of Ink actually talk about box art/distribution saying that often, rental companies won't even watch the movie. Their decision...

I think some people have been spoiled by Hollywood's 'polished' look at the cost of story. It's sad to me....
As i started this thread a couple of months ago, I might say that I saw it meanwhile. It might not be able to serve the sophisticated production values many people are used to and as such fail to meet the protocol that many have established as their requirements for spending attention on something. But I recommend to give it a shot, if you consider word of mouth worth anything at all. Let's not forget that the purpose of racking piles of...

The way you guys are talking I expected the trailer to be an embarrassing mess. It looked a little cheaply made, but the trailer seemed perfectly good to me.
