Thread: Monistat 7 & spotting

Started 2 months ago by Ke11y44
Can Monistat 7 cause spotting/light bleeding?  I just finished 7 days of Monistat to treat a yeast infection (sorry TMI) and I've been spotting for the last 4 days.  I'm 10 dpo today and the spotting began at 7 dpo.  BFN this am.  Any thoughts/experiences?  Thanks!

I had a scan last week Tuesday and measured 5w6d.  Went back in today and only meausured 6w3d.  Expected to measure 6w6d.  Baby was noticably bigger today and heartrate was detected at both scans.  Doctor was very optimistic today, but I am crushed.  Does this mean a non viable pregnancy with slow growth rate.  Also, I don't know what the heart rate was as Dr said he doesn't like...

My nose is always stuffed and I have been using it since day one of my pregnancy every night.  Someone mentioned in another post that it's not safe to use during pregnancy.  Anyone know why?  I would think it would be safer than the rhinocort my dr prescribed.

I'm hoping Dr. Larry Kincheloe or someone can help me, since I don't see my OB for another 3 weeks... I have chronic bilateral hydronephrosis.  I've had 4 kidney surgeries with the last one being in March.  My right kidney is significantly worse than the left.  My urologist has been monitoring my kidneys more closely since getting pregnant... I had a renal ultrasound in July, and again in ...

If your renal functions stays good then your pregnancy should be normal

Hi Dr. K... I appreciate you taking the time to answer our questions! I've had some preterm issues so I've gotten checked for dilation, etc. more than your usual customer :) I finally made it to 37 weeks, but I'm confused because today was the first day my doc mentioned the inside os... Last Thursday he said I was 2-3 cm and about 80% effaced. Today he said the outside is nice and open and...

Dr K. or anyone that has had an Amnio - I am wondering has anyone had an Amnio done to check for lung maturity. I have been having bi-weekly NSTs for probably the last 6-8 weeks because my LO is just not moving around very much. Twice now she has shown dips on the NST and I've been admitted for further monitoring and a BPP was done. Both times the BPP was good and I was sent home. (This ...

I am due Oct.5 and am wondering if I request an amnio at 37/38 weeks and his lungs are fully developed, size is normal, etc. if an induction is possible. I have GD and my #'s are crazy but I just started insulin today. I also need a bunch of dental work done inc. a root canal that can't be done until after he is born. If I ask my doctor this is he going to think I'm a horrible, crazy mother? Or ...

Rachel0607 replied 3 months, 1 week ago
Your doctor should not think you are horrible, I am sure they get asked this all the time!    GD would make you higher risk, in which case most doctors will induce at 37-39 weeks.   If your GD levels out though and the baby is not too big, waiting for nature to take its course is always easier on mom and the baby.

Do you have any idea why I shouldn't use vicks during pregnancy? I'm 4 mo pregnant and have used it every night.  I hope it's not hurting the baby.  You mentioned my sinuses clearing if I don't have broken bones.. I did break my nose about 4 months ago.  I wonder if that could be part of the reason I feel like my nose is always stuffed.   It was a straight break so it healed ok, except it does ...

Dr. K-would appreciate your advice
Published (2009-12-10 23:01:40)
Prior to moving, my old OB and pain dr had already decided a C-section would be best and though a spinal headache would likely repeat, I would disagree with this. A spinal HA is rare. I would be hospitalized for four days recovering from the surgery anyway and could adequately recover without the full-on responsibility of a newborn.? Most folks go home 2 days after a c/s Now my new OB says that I will deliver vaginally, and has voiced concern...

Fetal hiccups and cord problems?...
Published (2009-12-11 10:44:27)
Fetal hiccups are completely normal, very normal. It is very rare for there to be a problem associated with a fetus having hiccups and the umbilical cord. Don't read any more into anything please. Lots of women freak themselves out about this and it's not worth it. A fetus gets the hiccups because of the vernix and lanugo that's floating around in the amniotic fluid; it tickles their throat and that's why they get hiccups....

" Prior to moving, my old OB and pain dr had already decided a C-section would be best" I would get those records forwarded to your new OB.

Is high HCG concerning?
Published (2009-12-11 01:01:18)
http://www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html Both have great info about HCG levels in early pregnancy. You seem perfectly within the normal range. As you can see the range is quite large. But you are perfectly within the normal range for 6 weeks. 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml So ignore the ER doctor. That is info form the american pregnancy association. ER doctors...

It has been confirmed as gall stones.? My diet has helped quite a bit; Lean meats, no fried food, lowfat dairy products, etc... We will ty to avoid the pain first and foremost.? Then manage the pain with narcotics.? If all that fails, we will have to revisit this, but I am hoping it won't fail. :-) Thanks to everyone for their comments.?

Question for Dr. K
Published (2009-12-05 14:08:50)
I don't have the answers for you, but I would pray about it. It always makes me feel better to put my babies in God's hands when I get pregnant. I am so sorry you weren't prepared for all of this, but maybe it was better that you didn't have to worry your whole pregnancy. I can't imagine them overlooking so much. I hope you are holding up okay -- I know a loss like this is the worse thing a woman can go through.
