Thread: Mobil 1 MX4T

Started 3 years, 9 months ago by Normy
Hi All, I know that this subject has been covered before but I would like to hear from teams who use Mobil 1 MX4T 10W 40 synthetic oil in a Honda CBR600 F4i engine. Has anyone had any problems with this combination? Has anyone noticed perfomance gains from this oil? Any other relevant information would be great Cheers.Alec Norman T.D. UARC 2006

Auburn has used this oil for a few years. I beleive we even ran some we sourced down under, once upon a time. We never undertook a power study, at least when I was there. But durability was excellent. It is quite expensive (we got ours donated)-Charlie Ping Auburn FSAE Alum 00-04

A member of our team who is really into sport bikes found this article. I found it very interesting and informative, but the experiments that they ran are hardly scientific proof. It might shed some light on the situation. http://sportrider.com/tech/146_0308_oi l/ http://sportrider.com/tech/146_0310_oil/ Greg MTU FSAE

Hey, check this out: https://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2156.pdf This is what the magazine test should have looked like. From the mag graphs, I decided that I should check out Amsoil due to thier high total base number (since these engines mainly sit), high weight retention after extreme heat, and good standings in everything else. I was amazed at how much information they presented on their site. I ...
