Thread: Midazolam - mixing with other benzos?

I have some 7,5 mg roche Dormicum, and I have been testing them throughout the day, now at 30 mg in total. However, since midazolam has such a short halflife, the sedation is anything but overwhelming (I've been taking them over a period of 6 hours). Does anyone know if it is safe to take another benzo for sleep later? I know this sounds silly, but I need to know if it's a big no-...

Not inherently dangerous, but don't go nuts either. You do know that you're taking the benzo meant for sleep while staying awake, and the benzos meant to be taken while awake for sleep, right? Edit- Clonazepam surely isn't a 'minor benzo', it's one of the most potent!

Yes, I am aware that midazolam is supposed to be a sleep-inducing drug. However, I have been taking small amounts over a long period of time, which has resulted in only minor tranquilization. I just don't want to overdo it with midazolam in one day, hence the switch to a safer benzo.

As is the case with most benzos, the amount needed to overdose is fairly high, and goes down when you combine in other drugs (opiates or alcohol especially). Not that I think you're presenting yourself to any kind of danger in either case (exempting ridiculous doses); just saying...

i'm using clonazepam for at leat 10 years, last month my doctor prescribed midazolam 15mg, the first time i took 15mg, some days later i took 60mg of midazolam with 300mg of methadone...... it's strong, i think my tolerance of both benzos and opiates are too high. dont take a high dose if you havent any tolerance..... even if you had some, start low 7,5mg is a good dose(i think the ...
