Re: Mid size Suv suggestions. I bought an 06 Ford Escape for my wife from Hertz. The same model was $28,000 asking price at the dealership. Hertz sold it to me for $17,700. Both had v6, leather, AWD, 6 disc CD, auto, air. The Hertz had around 24,000 miles & was (gasp) 10 months old. It is now four years old & has about 80,000 trouble free miles.
