Any thoughts on this new "beta"?

Finally got Windows 7 (Build 6801) on my desktop computer! I have it on a separate partition, and it flawlessly dual boots with XP.
Start-up is a tad slower compared to XP, but everything becomes silky smooth once the start-up process has been completed.
It's also worth nothing that although a registration key isn't required for installation, the product must be activated if it's ...

Now that's nice--yes, we hope we'd get a free upgrade to it, but ...
Of course Microsoft isn't going to do that. With that logic, owners of 2007 cars should be entitled to free 2008 models because they're newer and better.
A little bit of trivia, Jim Allchin admitted that Windows XP SP2 was supposed to be a new Windows release but convinced Ballmer to release it as a service pack instead.

well, yes, if that 2007 model car's performance is as bad as vista, in other cases, if you are returning a bad product and ...
Vista didn't live up to the hype and a lot of originally promised features were cut out to focus on higher priorities. It's way more secure and stable than XP. What most users don't appreciate is that under the hood, Vista has been reworked significantly. Problems with drivers are generally out of Microsoft's control, device manufacturers should have worked on these problems earlier and faster. ...
I'm still continuing to play around with Windows 7. Coming from XP, the revamped interface takes a little bit of getting used to, but everything is a lot easier to get to now. The biggest improvement that I've seen with the start menu is the "Run" function. Indexed searching has been integrated to it, that means you only need to type the first few letters of a filename and Windows quickly...
Enterprise Applications: 10 Things Apple`s Mac OS X Needs to Stay Competitive Fix Up the Dock When Microsoft said that it had significantly improved the taskbar in Windows 7, some users were suspect of those improvements. Surely, it couldn't be better than Mac OS X's dock, right? Think again. Apple's Dock is now the second-best way to access applications in an operating system . If Apple wants to be successful, it needs to...

Windows 7 won't make your PC go miraculously faster. If you upgrade your XP gaming machine to Windows 7, Modern Warfare 2 and other games would still perform at around the same level. But yes they should be compatible. Those games will still run under Windows 7.
