Oddly enough, that very mantra has mirrored reality ...

I hate speed bumps. Speed bumps should be designed for the speed of the road. If the road limit is 30. Why do I have to slow down to 5mph so I don't destroy my car. Could be a good way to solve that problem, depending on the safety of these. What happens if your doing the speed limit and the thing stays erect.

So, how does that stop me from anchoring up before each "intelligent" hump?

I'm more in favour of drivers being educated to judge the speed on the situation and not take speed limits as a speed to set themselves at and not go any lower/higher. My area is riddled with stupid 20 Mph zones with bumps everywhere. My alloys will be square before much longer.

Expensive and effective vs cheap and completely ineffective (not to mention unpopular)... I know where I'd spend the money
