We'll been interesting with visitors and going day to day. Tomorrow with only 2 days notice I am hosting a party 3-6 for cancer research. All appetizers for 40 people. We do it every year, just normally in December. Last minute to do it this weekend. Most people are regulars our 5th year and none have kids so Halloween wasn't an issue. The football game was more of an issue than ...

Glad to hear you had great weeks. I stuck not to my menu. I was blessed with horrible bronchitis (you do NOT want details). While I'm still battling that, DH has been a real champ! He's taken care of the boys, "made" meals, cleaned up, and cared for me. His dinner for us last night was homemade tater tot casserole and green bean casserole. Major props for the effort! (I still can't taste a...

I am trying to jump back into menu planning. I used to be better about posting what I was making. So far the plan is: Sunday Salmon Fillets over Couscous (I only make the salmon and a box of couscous, not the couscous part of the recipe) Not sure about the order, but I have bought the ingredients to make the following for the week: Lemon Chicken Teriyaki with some kind ...

An update on last night's menu: spinach and Swiss quiche was renamed "rotten swamp pie," and the turkey sausages served with it were renamed "fingers," and the red juice was renamed, too. No matter what we have for dinner on Halloween, it gets renamed. I'm feeling almost better, and in spite of the fact that I have a thoroughly packed week ahead of me, and am trying to play catch-up,...

Well 16 hour up straight and cooked almost every minute. Served 40, and our party made, 5,000.00 plus a few for cancer research. NOT huge, but hey. Everything counts. Well had a late bowl of soup last night thx to the freezer, I normally don't eat much when I cater a party, but I did take some sliced spiral ham home so a little grilled ham and cheese with some potato soup. Tonight, The ...

Starry, what a great Halloween menu! I didn't know that some restaurants were giving out freebies. Also, I LOVE Chipotle. I went to one in Tucson. I wish we would get one near us!
