I absolutely loved this, for some reason. I think it's a testament to both actors and the well-written characters they portray that this managed to hold my attention for the full 90 minutes, because not much actually happens, but I was still mesmerized. It's low key, sure, but I feel it's supposed to feel like waking up after a party where you got so drunk you ended up in bed with a stranger. ...

Ehm, Beastie Boys? But anyway, I see your point, I just think to write off the film based on that alone (which it seems you were doing) is a bit too much. This is a mood piece, and I guess it stands or falls with the viewer liking or disliking the characters, but you can't deny it paints its characters very well. And I don't think it's so much about why this relationship didn't work out, more so that it didn't, period....
