I don't particularly like either. But I'll take All Along The Watchtower by Dylan.

Jimi's "All Along the Watchtower" is better than most songs. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"All Along The Watchtower" The hot electric riffing is unbeatable. "Me & Bobby McGee" is a great, great song though. No disrespect to Janis. "No one who speaks German could be an evil man!"

Even though it's one of the most played out songs on the radio and I'm sick to death of it: All Along the Watchtower.

Yes I realize one song is a little folksy/country music, while the other is more psychedelic. But I feel they share some similarities (yes, some of it has to do with the artists themselves) Both songs were cover songs originally by popular artists (Roger Miller and Bob Dylan). Both songs to be more popular than the original. Both songs were sung by popular and influential rock artists, who were born round the 1942/1943 season, both died around...
