Apparently, there is no vault with an extremely limited amount of humorous material available to work with. Funny sketches should never have a quota on a comedy series. Brilliant writers give their best and come up with better ideas as time goes by. This means that the current writers of SNL are far from brilliant in their writings.

Yeah, the writing has rarely been this weak. What's up with that, did some key writers jump ship? Did they stop taking drugs? When the sketches are weak, Weekend Update often comes to the rescue, but even WU was seriously weak in the Megan Fox episode. The studio audience was like "ehhh... har de har" and Meyers' confidence looked rather shaken.

The material was spread way too thin for WU. WU took a hit by putting together that mediocre Thursday night special, and it appears that they are doing another one this week. I actually thought that they were holding back on Thursday. This was one case where more of the same from Thursday's special would have benefited WU on Saturday. These Thursday night WU specials would work a lot ...

The material was spread way too thin for WU. WU took a hit by putting together that mediocre Thursday night special, and it appears that they are doing another one this week. I actually thought that they were holding back on Thursday. This was one case where more of the same from Thursday's special would have benefited WU on Saturday. These Thursday night WU specials would work a lot better during the summer and the weeks SNL is dark....
