Dear Forumn, I am a Corrections Officer in the Arkansas Department of Corrections and I have some very serious concerns about taser usage. I read a figure put out by Amnesty internation that at least 351 people have died in the US from being tased, alot of these people had no health problems and were healthy. Many Taser deaths are the result of them falling and hitting their heads. It has nothing to do with the actual shock of the Taser itself. Joules and amperage are what kill people. Wattage does not.
