Because, as I posted above, there is a rift in the church with mixed opinions about gay people. All Episcopalians are not of the same mind...some are welcoming, some are hostile.

I think what made stories like 1968 have SOME redeeming value is that there was some comedic take away from all of it that didn't really feel totally in-genuine. Bo and Rex in 1968 acted exactly as I believed Bo and Rex would act if put in that situation. It felt real, even if it did get ridiculous at times. This gay wedding ceremony just seems to have nothing going for it. Everybody seems to be acting out of character to prop it....

and Fish going off the deep end on Friday, lecturing on his beliefs when he is there in uniform, on duty, assigned to keep the peace! If he keeps his job after this it will be a miracle.

I agree 100% straw hat boy. Since we are going to change the meaning of the corner stone of our society, marriage, why SHOULDN'T 4-5 people be able to marry if it's all about love? Why shouldn't that woman's marriage to the Eiffel Tower be legal? I mean it's all about love and no one is getting hurt.

Andrew is an Episcopal priest. Remember he was (or maybe still is) married to Dorian's daughter Cassie? Catholic priests can't marry! He is the minister of Viki's church. And her family is Episcopalian. I'm pretty sure the Vega family is Catholic.

I'm sorry, I realized later that he was both also. I made the same mistake with Tina, because she is both a Lord, and was married to a Buchanan. These relationships are way too complicated. What I don't like is how unrealistic this storyline is. In almost any town outside of San Francisco, being in a same-sex marriage would be a detriment to your campaign, not an advantage. Its really obvious that the show's writers are shoving their liberal agenda down everyone's throat (no pun intended). I hope it causes a mass decrease in viewers, so they'll stop this garbage.
