Thread: Magnetic socket wrench?

why would you need one? so u can have a nut or bolt magnetized to the socket before putting it on?

I just use strips of paper in the socket to hold the nut/bolt tight, and tear off the excess. Works like a charm when in weird situations. Both sets seem pretty cool, I'm a cheap-ass though, so I would never buy either set. Robert

A magnetic socket wrench connector tip comprises a male connector tip for inserting into the female end of a socket. A magnet is partially embedded in the front face of the tip. snap-on, matco, or mac tools would have that. you can also just buy a magnetizer/demagnetizer from them.

Dum dum, or gum gum from some ac people. I use it all the time for a variety of purposes. Holds nuts and sockets in place. Plugs tiny holes in old metal. covers up rust under the hood.
