i can't really understand how kids are shoving their fingers there if they are buckled in. im assuming they are doing this when the stroller is not in use. anyways, yea its scary!

Actually, it's not just Maclarens, it's all folding strollers that have this problem. You just need to be smart and not let your kids play around or in the stroller when you are unfolding it.

don't you make sure your childs hands and feet are inside the car before you slam the door shut? hang up your cell phones, turn off your blackberries, put down your starbucks - simply be aware and cautious parents!

yeah.  I have 3 maclaren strollers.  I was a little confused.  Is it when the stroller gets folded that there is a problem?  I just tried to go to their website and it is temporarily down... I will google it. ETA:  I just googled it.  There is only a risk when the stroller is being opened or closed.  So basically if you don't let you kids shove their hand in the stroller when you are folding ...

1 million strollers recalled and 12 kids apparently got hurt.. granted NO kids should get hurt but it doesnt seem like a problem under "typical" use
