I created this topic so that all of M:R's users could come together and establish a thread full of reviews for anyone looking for new music. Why limit yourself to lists? Anyone can contribute here; just post a review of your favorite album, a recent album, etc. The only rule is... -Respect other's opinions Have fun, and contribute as much as possible :D
The Beatles - Revolver (1966) Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream Allow me to start off this review by saying that this is by far my favorite Beatles release, so the overall score of this will probably end up a bit skewed. Not only does it contain some of their best works ("Tomorrow Never Knows", "And Your Bird Can Sing"), but even the album's less masterful tracks are solid 9/...
Boris- Pink (2005) Wow... wow. This album was fantastic. I'd have never pegged myself as a fan of drone/doom metal, but this album was hardly drony or doomy at all. The only thing I'd say is like that is the last nine minutes of Just Abandoned Myself, and that's probably my favorite song on the album. I also really dig the opener, Farewell, which sounds like some sort of awesome post-metal ...
From: Slanted_Silver | #008 so is everyone just going to review their favorite albums What's with the accusatory tone >_> I don't listen to albums I don't like the music of. If you really want to read negative reviews, then you're slightly strange.
From: Slanted_Silver | #008 so is everyone just going to review their favorite albums Well, I've been working on some reviews of stuff I recently got from the library...
Weezer - The Green Album (2001) Who said an album has to be long to be good? No one? Never mind then. Anyways, Weezer (The Green Album) is 30 minutes of fun little power pop ditties, and little more. It's nothing groundbreaking, no album of the decade or anything like that. It does what it sets out to do perfectly well, and that's to make a fun record that anyone can listen to with relative ...

The only thing truly holding this...
Here goes my first review, of one of my favorite albums right now: The Strokes - Is This It? (2001) Oh man. This album is really one of those "I came in to hear one song, and ended up listening to the whole album...twice" albums. Is This It? is a hard-hitting, beautiful and stylish alternative rock album that is certainly among the best of this decade. Is This It? really brings back the sheer...fun of classic rock, and mixes...

Moon Safari - [Blomljud] Modern classically styled symphonic prog album with heavy emphasis on vocal harmonies. Think Beach Boys meets Yes. Some of the most soulful keyboards ever are on this album, and I have honestly never heard an album that matches it in sheer beauty. If you like prog, you absolutely should not miss this spectacular double album. The only thing bad is that when they aren't making songs flow together, they end them...

Really cool topic idea, maybe this can be also used if anyone's wondering how a particular album is and requests that anyone who has it would review it. Also, since I'm doing a Megadeth list, I'll review a random album from them for this topic.
