Thread: MS Problems after installing 36-1

I just installed 36-1 pulley and the car starts right up, I adjusted the timing just fine. But here is the problem, around 2k-3k RPM the tach is starting to bounce and car is miss firing like light launch control, the turbo is spooling faster but the car jerks. I did some datalogs but they show smooth rpms in MS. Im running MSD box, triggering straight from d14. Basic settings 36-1 Tooth...

Jordan had me trouble shoot the Tooth #1 angle. By changing it I was able to dial in my timing, using the fixed timing option. I found that 48* for tooth #1 worked for me. I still had the initial problem. We were trying all kinds of angles and it would change the timing but wont get rid of the problem. Then I said F it , and decided to try my old 6-1 pulley, I took off the 36-1 and ...

Jordan had me trouble shoot the Tooth #1 angle. By changing it I was able to dial in my timing, using the fixed timing option. I found that 48* for tooth #1 worked for me.
