Thread: MLB GameDay Audio?

Hello. Is there any chance that Logitech will make MLB's GameDay audio available on mysqueezebox.com next year? I know that this has been asked before, but I just wanted to see if anything could be done to make this happen for next season. As others have pointed out, the baseball game broadcasts are blacked out on the internet streams of our local AM/FM stations. Mike

i hope there can be a way to get some traction going with that request. the plugins that have been developed so far having been too technically challenging for me to get them to work so i look forward to a MLB/logitech partnership. then maybe, the mighty NFL should be brought into the squeeze fold. But now I'm dreaming of a perfect world...

IIRC the MLB Gameday plugin gets an RTMP URL which is then played through a variety of apps ending with mplayer. The author of the plugin should look at BBCiPlayer. BBCiPlayer handles BBC RTMP URLs and converts them into streams which can be played directly (i.e no transcoding if Flash/mp3) - no need for other apps such as rtmpdump or mplayer.
