Thread: MAC Address clone

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 V3 router. I have three computers connected to it. The router MAC address is cloned to computer #1. So right now computer #1,2, and 3 has access to the internet using computer's #1 MAC address. Is there some way with my current router or another kind that will allow me let computer #1 and 2 use the cloned MAC address and have computer #3 use its own MAC address even ...

i don't beleive that is possible, but you could share your printer on the network and password it, and have him print that way?

Why not just mate an ad-hoc wireless network or a simple wired network seperate from your college network? that way its betweeen you two and hes not using up your quota.

What you would probably want to do, since you're referring to mac addresses, is setup a switch between the wall drop and your router. Get a second router and plug your roommate's computer into the second one. This way, you have 2 routers, your stuff on yours and his stuff on the other one. This way you can have your mac addresses cloned, and his mac address will not take away from your ...
