Does anyone have any information on recipes for duplicating original M1 Garand military field loads or current military match loads? I've seen and used currently published loading data with great success but I haven't seen anything that is supposed to duplicate original military loads.

If you buy some surplus ammo, pull the bullet on one and weigh the charge, if it's around 50gr you'll be ok, as that is what the Garand system was designed to handle. If you get something corrosive, wash with hot soapy water, dry and oil. The whole system, not just the barrel.
Back in the Day - of the brown boot Army, we shot corrosive issued ammo in our assigned M1's. We'd take the metal parts into the shower room and with GI soap, bore brushes, steaming hot water and elbow grease, the carbon and salts came off whistle clean. Can you envision a bunch of naked kids cleaning their rifles in the shower?! Worked out well, though - just don't drop any parts!

For my m1 Garrand been using DCM ammo for years its FMJ and all 150 Grain. Shoots great and is factory clipped and can be bought bandoliered if you want. Its also great for sighting in B4 using costly hunting loads
Maybe you could share the make of the Mil Surp ammo. I can tell you that
the Greek HXP stuff the that CMP sells is good stuff, and any Lake City
stuff is good.
