Carbine? Why yes, its a great close in rifle. My wife likes to shoot the carbine alot. she like the low recoils and the low weight so much that I had to get her her own rifle so she could stop shooting mine! .30 carbine is still plentiful enough and cheap by comparison to other odd caliber rounds. I will never get rid of my carbines. just a jack of most trades really.
