Awe, she just got her first pair of mesh panties on! I'm off to a book, but this will be really cool!

Really interesting... I don't have near enough patience to actually sit and watch, but yeah. Definitely a unique idea.

My connection is way too choppy for me to watch this, but I just loaded the page and got a glimpse at a couple of stills--it looks like her plan for an all-natural birth has changed, judging by all the monitors and wiring and IV we can see now... Oh, well.

OK, this is addictive. There was a blank page telling you to 'please wait', and when it came back on they had finished with the epidural. She was 8-9 and kept repeating over and over how close she got and how bad she felt about it. Gah, they are asking her to nap well. I remember it goes much faster when you are the patient! This is taking too long.

Yeah. When I got to the webpage it was saying "we'll be right back". She was getting the epi then, they couldn't get video of that. Fine by me, I don't wanna watch that

If this horse isn't totally dead yet, I can write a little more about what depressed me. The mother had planned on an unmedicated birth. She'd stated that, and had also hired a doula and a midwife. She had support in place. And I think that her support failed her. She was at 7-8 cm, in transition, and when it got intense and she was feeling like she couldn't do it--a classic indication of transition, by the way--instead of...

Big Mac? That wouldn't be my choice of postpartum cuisine . I like to be pampered after I push a baby out. __________________

I guess she doesn't plan on napping. I hope all goes well with the delivery. I think what makes this really intoxicating for me is not only the positive excitement about what is to come, but also the accents they all have. Part of my family lives out there and it feels like I'm talking to them!

*hugs* Maybe it'll help other women that do want a natural intervention-free birth. It'll show them what can happen and they can form their own opinions and make their own decisions about what's best for them and their babies.

I think the Doula is really paranoid about being on camera. She keeps talking about it.

When I watched it it didn't look like she had an epidural to me. She could move her own legs and everything, I know I couldn't AT ALL...I dunno:shrug:

I've heard of a "walking epidural". Maybe that's what she had?

Its weird seeing the live feed now a day later. The family is in there sitting around and the mom is inhaling a big mac from mcdonalds. __________________

That would depress me too. I hope that doesn't happen to me. However, I think I have a great shot at getting the birth I am yearning for, because I am going to be giving birth at a birthing center, and not a hospital. So I truly have my fingers crossed. I missed this. Did she have a boy or a girl? And is the baby ok?
