Thread: Lump in my Left Breast

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Collette82
I had noticed a spot on my left breast that was extremely tender and asked the Dr. about it when I had my appt. last month. She didn't seem too concerned when she found a pea sized lump near the milk duct on the inside. She said that it should go away in my 2nd trimester. However, it is more sore then ever now (almost 12 weeks) and I belive the lump is a little bigger. I notice it quite ...

I totally agree! It probably is fine, but I'd ask again and get a second opinion if it's growing and painful just to be on the safe side.  You don't want something like that getting out of hand.

Are you touching it a lot?  I found a lump on my left breast and I kept touching it to see if it was still there, how big it was, etc.  It was sore to the touch and it kept getting bigger.  The soreness wouldn't go away until I forgot about the lump and stopped touching it.  Its amazing how sore those little lumps can get just from touching/ rubbing them.  Try to leave it alone for a few ...

I had a few lumps in my left breast too - at my 8 week appt the midwife felt it and wasn't to concerned.  I guess I am not concerned either.  The soreness is reassuring to me and the fact that everything in the breast area is getting ready to nurse.  If you are concerned - you should get a second opinion.  Let us know.

I agree! I definitley think you should be concerned. Anytime it is growing in size or in pain, It is reason to be concerned. I would definitley go back to your doctor or even a second opinion from a different one. I am sure your fine, but better safe than sorry. If you don't go, your going to worry about it no stop! Good luck!
