Thread: Lotus and Bluetooth volume

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by RobTheHillbilly
I have had the Lotus for 9 months now and love the phone, but I have one small problem. I have been through 2 different Bluetooth ear pieces and the volume is so low it's hard to hear anything. The first was a Jabra and the 2nd was a Motorola. Am I missing something or what? The headset volume is turned up to 8 and still no luck. Thanks for any help in this!!

its not the phone its the bluetooth! Im guessing on bluetooth devices that are battery powered they are limited to volume power due to battery power consumption. It's a trade off the louder or more amped up volume the more juice it uses. Just a guess on my part. I have a plantronics 520 voyager and its def loud for me. Battery lasts around 6 to 7 hours.

I went from the Plantronics 520 to the Motorola H780. While I liked the 520 it wasn't loud enough for me in normal driving conditions. That being said, the person I'm usually talking to is on a bluetooth speakerphone so, that's not always the best call quality either. Personally, my headsets are louder on this phone than they were with previous ones. Rob, what headset are you using?

I have the Motorola H500 and the Jabra BT185Z. I had a Plantronics 340 that I used with my DLX and was a great one til it died on me

Both of those are a little older by today's standards. Perhaps you should try a newer headset and see what your results are. This may sound stupid too but are you sure the volume is turned all the way up on them? The only reason I ask is because I've had it turned down on mine and forgotten when I switched over to the headset and then wondered why it was so hard to hear.
