Thread: Looking for a sight

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by rhodes31072
I am looking for a new sight for my old Mathews Q2 bow. I currently have a toxonics that I only have two pins on. I use this bow only for hunting. I hate a cluttered sight picture, hence the two pins. What kind of sight would y'all recommend? I have never tried a slider type and am worried about hunting with just a single pin and having to adjust with a deer nearby. I also don't want so ...

I have used a HHA single pin slider sight and adjusting it is no problem unless you are at full draw and the deer moves significantly closer or farther away. I got rid of that to use pins sights and got a VIPER MICROTUNE with 5 pins I got them set a 10, 20, 30, 35, 40. My 40 has a nice size gap shooting heavy arrows. If you are having trouble you can get a clarifier peep and will help you alot...

get a spot hogg 3 pin if you want a none cluttered sight, I shoot the real deal 5 pin and hands down the best built sight on the market in my book. google any sight for reviews and read alot before buying.

Have you considered keeping the same sight and changing the pins? I've got an old Q2 and bought a green Fiber/Tritium pin and a yellow fiber pin made by TruGlo from Cabela's and I love it. I am going to take that bow with me this PM because it gives me an extra 5 to 10 minutes to shoot in the evening. A larger peep will also compliment this setup. Just a thought and may save you a few $$$.

I thought the .10 pins would be too small/not bright enough but it works GREAT for hunting. I love it and can say that I have found my favorite site!
