I'm getting more and more interested in racing games/sims these days. I've been learning how to drive stick and it sparked my interest in racing games. I've always enjoyed GT and NFS and more recently Dirt and Grid but I'm looking for a better experience. I'm thinking about trying to find a used G25 or maybe even purchase one new. Gamepads are nice but I'm looking for something more gratifying....

Any of the GTR games is a great choice, with the wheel especially the g25/g27 you'll be amazed. If you get GTR Evo get the Race on addon.. you'll get CTS-V's, Camaro, Challenger, etc...

Live For Speed.
It has the most realistic feeling with the G25 in my opinion. Try the demo. You only get slow cars with the demo but I it is still fun.. I purchased the latest verson of the game and its awesome physical interactive experience. The graphics are not particularly good for this day and age but it is a great track racing experience on the PC.

have you tried the g25 or g27? I am on the fence since the difference in price is so huge.
great post because I am also looking for games that utilize the clutch and am also looking to purchase a wheel setup too for shift.
I always wondered what it would be like to get drunk and play some redneck rampage. hehe

The sequential shifter mode is simply gear up/down. Push for up, pull for down. I find it useful as a handbrake for some games. (i.e. pull and hold to apply handbrake)

I have the Driving Force Pro, and often that's how I use my shifter, because I shift with the paddle ...

If you are looking for an online competitive sim and don't mind the cost, I recommend iRacing. If you want a slightly dated, yet still fun online sim without the cost of iRacing, Live for Speed(S2) or rFactor. Any of SimBins games are fun too.

Sequential shifter easily doubles as a handbrake. Unfortunately, unless you're having fun and...
