Hi, I live in Earlton, Ontario, Canada and I want to learn kendo, but after a few researches using the Canadian Kendo Federation site. The closes Dojo that I could found was Laurentian Kendo Club in Sudbury, Ontario proximately 164km from my area.....

I think you're in some difficulty. It seems like Sudbury is definitely the closest. Our club here in Sault Ste Marie is even further.
There are lots of great online resources (such as the Cyber Dojo http://kendo.imafuji.info/the_cyber_dojo_news/ ) but in all honesty you really can learn kendo online and you definitely can't get the feel for kendo any other way than in a dojo.

I have to agree with jjcruiser.
You can make the trip easier by car pooling (find someone or people who want to go to the other town to do some shopping - maybe your family?). You could also plan to do some grocery shopping at the same time (maybe there's a Costco or something there - I'm naturally presuming the town with the Dojo is larger than where you live).
