Thread: Looking at a Bronco, need advice.

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Tundaplaya
Hey guys well I did a search and found nothing so I need your input. I am new to broncos and am looking to purchase my first one. The main one I am interested in is a 94 XLT 4x4 with 151k miles on it, auto trans w/ overdrive and electronic 4x4. Interior and Body are in great shape, only a quarter size rust spot in a fender that was cut out. It has a 4 inch lift with 33" tires since about 1500...

Body Lift Question i just aquired a body lift new in the box from my brother who isnt going to use it.. my question is it is for a 90 bronco All the manufactures have two different part numbers 83-91 and 92-96 the only difference i can figure is the later model kit has front bumper brackets and thats the only thing i could find different...

jam0o0 replied 3 months, 2 weeks ago
yea bumper mounting is way different. i don't think the body mounts are different between the years. but don't take my word for it. make sure you learn a bit about body lifts before you decide to mess with one. __________________ 95: 351w, E4OD, BW1356, D60, 10.25, ARB, detroit, 4.88, 38's http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...il.php?id=. ..

Best thing you could do with that body lift is put it on eBay and use the money towards a suspension lift. __________________ 1992 F-150 4x4 East Coast Firefighting- Only the Best http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...il.php?id=4 768 Quote: Originally Posted by dogonmut NTB...

MAF ? I have been browsing and looking for different things for my next build, and I need to run a MAF set up, would this kit take my SD to a MAF set up? or be close to it? the description says additional parts my be needed that arent included, and from the picture it doesnt look like it has a MAF sensor. So the question is, is this a MAF ...

Need some help finding a wire diagram so here i was today at the junk yard and walked by a '99 crown vic with the fan already removed, its in good condition and im getting ready to install it but i cant find a wiring diagram for it, it has four wires 2 are smaller and are brown with orange stripes, 1 is blue and about 10ga the other also 10ga ...

Never_Evil replied 3 months, 2 weeks ago
IIRC, the small gauge brown are for the temperature sensor to tell the fan when to turn on or off, The blue and grey would be your power and ground wires, hook up 12v to know which way the fan will turn. __________________ 1997 Expedition - Daily driver at this point 1992 Bronco XLT - Soon to be double duty truck 1993 F150 - Offroad/plow ...

yo! Too bad you wasted $ on those parts. DTC P0401: EGR Flow Insufficient Detected, & EGR Flow Excessive Detected; "...possible causes are a bad DPFE sensor, a bad EGRVR solenoid or possibly a bad PCM. The first thing to check is the wiring for breaks and be sure the connectors are clean and tight. Also check the vacuum lines for proper routing and that there are no breaks or cracks ...

That one was nasty. They just tend to get that way. Get in the habit of doing in more often so it isnt as hard to do the next go round. __________________ 1992 F-150 4x4 East Coast Firefighting- Only the Best http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...il.php?id=4 768 Quote: Originally Posted by ...

That blue one, the seats are starting to crack. Seats still look good on that all black xlt sport though. That blue one also has a steering wheel cover. Meaning the leather is all ripped up. It might be "lower" miles, but it's not in better condition.

Wow, used the link above for roughtcountry and was clikin' around. A chat opened up with "Ben", who asked if I needed some help. He answered all my questions, I asked about the six shocks (cause the kit only comes with 4) he said added shocks only cost $50. I also asked about 4" leaf spring 2" block option (i don't particularly care for the large 4" block setups), he said that didn't...

Sweet news. Wanna know what's really bad? Getting a wrench stuck between the frame and the starter's terminal. My electronics professor at community college told me about a friend of his that was wearing a ring while working on his car. Got his finger (and ring) stuck between the starter and something obviously grounded while trying to remove the starter, and the ring ended up getting hot enough to burn through his finger.

so any input on the dropping oil pressure after it warms up it rises back up when you increase the RPMs but at idle it goes to "L" or just below "L"

Sounds like the torque converter to me? But definitely sounds like transmission issues. I don't think cleaning out the pan will do anything at this point
