Dont really know where to start but here goes... First of all my circumstances - Im a lone parent who recieves income support and invalid care allowance for my looking after my child who is in receipt of Disability living allowance. Im hoping to start a HND course in college soon, but so far am completely round the bend trying to work out my finances. Ive applied to SAAS for my ...

Go and see student services/student advice centre at the uni. They will be able to help you work out what you're entitled to and how to get it all. They may also be able to offer more funding. Sorry I cannot offer more than that, but I am not an expert on Scottish funding.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me I think I've found a solution after speaking to my student advisor. My full time course wouldve consisted of 16 1/2 hours of supervised study and meant all sorts of hassle and the possiblity of being a lot worse off financially. By reducing my hours by 1/2 an hour means I'd then be classed as a part time student, and can remain on all my current ...
