Hi Thinking of opening an account with one of these so I can get a new phone I am looking at getting insured through the premium account insurance bundle. Just wondered if I would be allowed to open up an account and pay for the premium banking just to get this? Or would I have to switch accounts completely to one of them? There is no minimum funding requirement on the Halifax URCA, so you can just fund the account and pay your fee. From 6th December you'll get a £5 Reward (rebate) if you fund that account with £1,000 - effectively cutting the cost to £7.50 a month. Make sure the mobile phone cover gives you the protection you need though. Most household insurance policies will insure a phone and calls to ...

Hi, Its for an iphone if I get it. I think Im going to go with Lloyds as there doesnt seem to be much difference between the account there and the Halifax one and Ive seen/read good reports about their insurance

Haha. Nope. Went in to get one today but they said I could use an o2 open code on an iphone 3gs Gutted.
