It is so frustrating the constant glitches and failures of my Palm Desktop software. I finally was able to install the Desktop software most compatible with Vista (4.1.4).   Now, suddenly, the Memos in List Mode do not show the items in the Memos! The data for the items is still there (they show in the Detail window in the right panel). And the Large Icons and Small Icons display the ...

You can try an uninstall and reinstall of Palm Desktop software but the version that is supported and works is Palm Desktop 6.2. If I may ask did you try this version? If so what happened to where you installed version 4.1.4?

thepoeta15,   Thank you for your reply. But how new is the version you refer to? When I first got Vista, the software for my Palm was terrible! It didn't have any of the color codes for the calendar! Is this still the case? Is this new version of the Palm Desktop free of the glitches of earlier versions? If so, I'll gladly install it!   Thanks for replying!

There is no color codes for Palm Desktop 6.2.2. As for glitches I am unsure what you mean by that. Also Palm Desktop 4.1.4e does work on Vista but the Quick Installer may not work reliability, the same for 4.1.4.

Is the dropping of the color code in 6.2.2 a deliberate software decision by the Palm programmers, or is it that it just doesn't work in Vista? And how about Windows 7. I am about to upgrade to Windows 7. I like the color code and will probably stay with 4.1.4 if it isn't available with the newer versions. Odd.
