I hope that you'll all forgive me a moment's self-indulgence, though it is related to WoW in the most personal way. This is very long, but I hope that others will find value in it. It all started innocently enough. For months a number of the regular posters over on Allakhazam's OOT forum had been chittering together via skype. The silly banter that has become the hallmark of that forum ...

I went through something pretty similar recently. I tend to stay with a guild for a long time. Sometimes longer than I should. I tend to mentor other players and in my last guild I started feeling like I was carrying people. We hit a wall in 10 man Ulduar, a wall I could not carry them over this time. They were all my friends, nice people, great people really. Just not as serious about playing...
DAMMIT Mindel! I'm in ALMOST the exact same position. My best friend (IRL) has just hit 80 and has been pestering me all day to join. I'm just about broken down to do it, and I read your post. It kicked me over the edge. Going to go get a f*cking gamecard. Let the Insane return!
I was in untouchable sage when it started! It was fun, but I never really could tear myself away from my friends alliance side on my own server to level an alt. I also wasn't as familiar with the OoT at that point. Have fun!

You know you want one... :D
This is exactly like the scene in Armageddon where Ben Affleck realizes he's the one who pulled the short straw, and he's like aww crap, and the audience is like, aww man, that sucks, 'cause he was going to marry Liv Tyler when he came back from saving the planet, but then Bruce Willis comes and rescues him by taking his place which produces a short aww, how sweet, but then you realize it's Bruce...
Quote: Was I so drunk that I couldn't sing? Well you had the movie itself pumping through vent so it was hard to hear you at times but you sang pretty good in your state of inebriation in my opinion
*Sniffle* Pancake Bunnies, RIP :-( (Allakhazam PvP twink guild on Shadow Council). I was also a member of The Fifth Star back when it was an Allahazam-only guild. No idea how it's doing nowadays.

Just the one action of switching servers throws up such a big barrier that there's very few people who don't stick to one server. That's probably also why it took me so long to reroll horde. I'd just log onto my old main and immediately...

That was a touching look into your heart, Mindel. Thanks for sharing it. Also, my alt totally got kicked out of Untouchable Sage for inactivity back in the day.
