Break up the Leafs
The game just ended and they beat the Wings 3-2. Only saw the third period, but it looked like they were clearly the better team. They were hustling, forechecking, backchecking, blocking shots, they deserved to win.
Palin set to drop puck at Philadelphia NHL game
PHILADELPHIA (AP)Sarah Palins next faceoff will come at center ice at an NHL arena, not at a debate.
The GOP vice presidential nominee will drop the ceremonial first puck when the Philadelphia Flyers open the regular season against the New York Rangers on Saturday. Palin, the Alaska governor and self-described hockey mom, will join ...
The Leafs played well. I don't think they'll win a lot of games, but if they play like that every night, they'll damn sure put up a fight and do the jersey proud.
I see Alfredsson is out for a few weeks.
Martin Brodeur played in his 1,030th regular-season NHL game to set a record for goalies, making 27 saves and tallying an assist, and Pandolfo scored the tiebreaking goal in a 4-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

They're not that good on the road for whatever reason, and usually with the home crowd to pump them up, they can play really well, like they did Saturday night. They just need to play like that again and the Wings will win. Ozzie's played as spectacular as he's always been, so the...
Well, good riddance to Heatley! A spoiled brat who thought he knew better than the coach how he should be played. If he had had to stay in Ottawa, he would have poisoned the team - booed every time he went on the ice, cold shouldered in the locker room, inadvertently or deliberately undercutting the coach. As for the trade, it was probably as good as could be expected under the circumstances. The two players from San Jose are inconsistent but...
So the hometown boy makes a big return to the Oilers. People are starting to wear their Mike Comrie jersey's, I never thought that would happen. I wonder if Chris Pronger will come back now. It was nice to see the fans give him a standing O' and chant his name. I wonder if Hillary Duff will be at any Oiler game now?
