Thread: Lemon Ice Box Pie - good recipe?

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by *GIBBY*
Anyone? I've never made one. Do I go with a cooked recipe with eggs, or a no bake recipe?

I'm not sure that this is exactly what you're looking for but its the best lemon pie that I've ever made or eaten. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Lemon -Custard-Pies-921

I have an easy no bake one. You can use regular lemonade or pink lemonade Frozen lemonade 6 oz Sweetened condensed milk 14 oz Cool Whip 8 oz Graham cracker crusts (2 six oz or 1 nine oz) Fold condensed milk and lemonaide concentrate into whipped topping;spoon evenly into crusts, cover and freeze pies until firm.

1 can sweetened condesned milk 3 egg yolks 1/2 cup lemon juice(Lime juice is good too) mix together, pour into graham crust Bake 350 Deg F for about 15 min Cool/refrigerate Top with whipped cream(cool whip) Can also make a meringue with the egg whites if you want but I never do this.

HCM - that's pretty much my key lime pie recipe...

Yup, that is exactly what it is, I just switched to lemon since that is what my family likes. It is always a hit.

Gibby so I'm guessing this wasn't the type of recipe you were looking for.

I have a lemon chess pie recipe that is similar to a chocolate chess pie, if you are interested. It is delicious! :)

HCM - since I've never made one, I don't really know what it should be!

lol well that makes sense...I think of anything called an ice box whatever, is just something that needs to be refrigerated.
