Thread: Leftover Old Oil

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Total_Filth
Hey guys, I'm about to do an oil change on my truck for the first time. Just wondering how to dispose of the old oil? And also what's the best to use to catch the oil out of the sump? Thanks, TF

FYI Police were set up on the Warburton Highway on Sunday with a road block, only pulling in 4wds for RWC's ect. Not only the locals coppers, but crews from in town. Maybe the tide is turning in relation to what is acceptable??

I buy them in one offs as needed. Find you can get the top quality stuff that way without it hurting your pocket. A full set of top quality taps and dies is going to be VERY expensive. Maybe buy a middle of the road range with a nice box and upgrade as needed ? Don't forget Nissan use a lot of metric fine !

Do you want them for tapping holes or just cleaning threads? If you are cutting threads buy P&N or Sutton. If you just want to clean threads any cr ap will do.

We're going to have another top Christmas, camped in the bush, with roasts done in camp ovens, downed with a few reds etc. Don't care if it's rain, hail or shine, we're away from the city krap. Cheers Ray
