I have a Compaq Laptop It has an Athlon X2 QL-62 (2ghz) proc 3gigs RAM Vista Home Premium I was playing a game on it and it shut down for no apparent reason. And it would not restart. It kept shutting down. The fan would come on at full power (seemed like it) every time I tried restarting it. After noticing that it seemed kind of hot, I left it for a little bit. And it has ...

make sure there isn't a large dust bunny blocking air flow in the heat sink... take it apart and look cause thats what it sounds like as I've cleaned many of them with that issue before.
