Sounds like your button is getting stuck then? I have a Lotus and haven't had that issue.

This is my second LG Lotus in a month and now it is doing weird things just like the first one.
The side volume / scroll control up and down keys sometimes when pressed once will continue to push the volume or scrolling up or down to the min or max even after it is released.
there are other weird things it does too, same as the last one.
any takers?
