i THINK when u look from the side on a LCD Tv the picture gets darker so u cannot see it as well   But with a Plasma this doesnt happen.   I think thats it but im not 100% certain

LCD, is best, plasma are terrible from the side you can c 2 images. But if they have the money go4 LED, they out of this world nothing beats them

Plasma = Great LCD = Cheap Take your pick.   If you chose LCD, don't blame us if you get crap contrast ratios, huge amounts of pixel lag and rubbish viewing angles.

The units are lighter. You could get full hd at a smaller size (which probably was a very important deciding factor to many before it became socially acceptable to have a 42" tv at home . Plasma has issues with burn-in.   You see, there are plenty of...

NaNook1971, yes - backlight is LED, but screen is still LCD. If someone would advertise CCFL backlit tv's as CCFL-TV, it's not changing the fact that it's still LCD. I'm not saying that those Samsung LED-TV's are bad or anything but they're still LCD's despite Samsung advertising brainwash.

I personally have no problem with Burn-In on my Panasonic plasma. It does retain static images which is only noticable when you turn it off and clears with any moving image.
