Thread: Keurig B70 Tank Issues...

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by NewDaddy
After filling the tank, I place it back onto the unit. Next time I try to brew a cup, the pump will run but no water is being drawn out of the tank. I double check to make sure it is properly seated, all the way down, etc. I even lift it straight up and put it straight back down to ensure proper alignment to no avail. The only time I can get the pump to draw water from a fresh tank refill is when...

Odd (to me at least). What if you fill up the tank without removing it? _________________ Grindmaster OPOD Senseo 7810 (recalled) Keurig B40 Josh's Pod Guide Josh's K-cup Line-up

Then it works fine. Its only when its removed and put back in place. I looked at the bottom of the tank where the spring valve is and it all looks normal. Very odd. _________________ Keurig B70 at home Keurig B3000 @ work My Hobby: www.code3.photoreflect.com

Have you tried to descale and see if that helps? Maybe something is getting blocked. _________________ Current Gizmos: Keurig B70 Nespresso CitiZ (coming soon) Aeropress Aerolatte Milk Frother Bratza Vario grinder Coffee BeanVac Latest deals on single serve coffee & machines: www.SingleServeCoffeeDeals.com

I never had a problem filling it in place. When you remove it you will leave space for air to get in the system. When that happens its like the first time you used it and had to wait for the air to purge. Its simpler to add water in place

I found that I was better served by filling the tank in place. The only time that I remove the tank is when I need to replace the filter element.

That's odd. I remove the tank 1-2 times every single day when I refill it at my sink, and have never had a problem with air getting in. Maybe it depends on the model? I have a B70. _________________ Current Gizmos: Keurig B70 Nespresso CitiZ (coming soon) Aeropress Aerolatte Milk Frother Bratza Vario grinder Coffee BeanVac Latest deals on single serve coffee & ...

I have a B77 and have not had a problem with an air lock. It is just much more convenient to refill the tank in place than going through the hassle of removing it to add water.

Just hung up from Keurig. New B70 is on its way! Outstanding customer service! They asked me to do a few tests on it, they were under the assumption that the needles were clogged and / or I was in need of a descale. I knew this was not the case, but I guess they just didn't understand the issue. It seems like the people here are more knowlegable about keurigs than keurig itself is. Anyway,...

Well, sometimes it's empty when i wake up in the morning, so that's 1 refill right away. Also not all the water goes to coffee. I like to run 8oz through it without a K-Cup sometimes just to clean it, especially if i've brewed any sort of flavored K-Cup. Otherwise the smell will linger inside the K-Cup canister. The Fiance drinks an occasional cup or two as well. _________________ ...

This same thing happened to me yesterday with my B77. The water pump was trying to get the water out of the reservoir but couldn't seem to "grab" it. After a minute the machine turned itself off. This happened about 3 times until finally the water started pumping into the machine. Definitely sounds like a priming issue. My machine is only 2 weeks old so I doubt it is a scaling issue.
