Thread: KNITWITS UNITE-SAT 11/14

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by ALLIECAT101
This is a thread for all those yarn lovers! Knitting and WW go hand in hand for many of us as we don't (usually) eat while knitting! Let's join together and share our knitting projects, swap shop info and just knit.

I didn't see us started yet, hope I didn't miss it! I didn't stay up at late as I wanted last night, but did work on the prayer shawl. DD has art class this morning so I will just sit in the car and knit while she is in class. On my agenda today is taking dd to art class, then after that stopping by the lab and having blood work drawn, then going ...

Hi Deanna and everyone to come.... Just about to hop in the shower and then go out into the sunny day and see what's up in nature.... Our house backs up on a wildlife refuge and even though we are only about 500 yards from a busy 6 lane highway, the wildlife in my backyard is spectacular. If you sit on my porch, I guarantee you will see something ...

Hello Mary Ellen! My daughter would so love to sit in your backyard, it sounds wonderful, sad about the the crane but glad his partner survived, weird how animals grieve losses too! Home for lunch then off to church. Deanna

I guess today will be a copy and paste day. My arthritic fingers don't want to work right and my sciatica is killing me. I had a bad reaction to the pain meds yesterday and was on the phone with my doctor. I am feeling a little better today. My son will be over to take me shopping for groceries as I cannot drive yet.

Can I still join the group even though I don’t knit? I have a fascination with yarn and I do some crocheting . . . kind of an armature and in the early stages of learning. One day I would like to learn to knit but didn’t have luck learning from a book. I live in a rural area of northern Minnesota. Every once in a while I see a black bear in my ...

Mary Ellen, I would love to come sit on your porch. I love all animals except the skunks that come around and spray. If they didn't spray, I would love them also, they are so pretty. Marien, welcome. I also crochet, but prefer knitting.

Deanna: I forgot to start the thread this a.m. Thought I had then realized much later I didn't. So sorry. Glad you got some knitting done yesterday and plan to do more tonight. Mary Ellen...I would LOVE to sit on your porch! I would have asked to have the gator taken care of, too. Willard is a hoot...you have a wicked sense of humor. Marien: Fine...

Welcome Marien! I am with Anni on that it is easier to learn to knit with someone showing you, I am a somewhat self taught knitter, but really needed hands on help to get it really down. I have found knitting books written for young girls/teenage girls are easier to understand and follow. Knitting is my sanity, it is what relaxes me after a long day....

Hi, Deanna...sounds like a productive day. Have fun going out to eat. Will you take DD along? We are having stew that DH made. It's yummers. I just got off the treadmill, so dripping wet. Plan to knit tonight. Tomorrow is knitting group and more progress on my sock! Blessings, Anni

Anni, stew sounds good, I still have my cold and to be honest dinner didn't really have any taste to me, but it was nice to be out. DD went with. I just realized I didn't think about the dish I need to bring to share tomorrow, thankfully I have 2 frozen pies in the freezer, one apple the other blueberry, so just put one in the oven. Back to the ...
