I agree about the movie idea. That would (naturally) be a story scraped together from the few facts/pics and all pasted together in conventional Hollywood hearsay. Still, the Johnny Cash story was respectable.

I'm all for the house restoration. Not crazy about the movie idea if the guy can't get the straight dope on something that simple. Heck, I'll look into if they have a way to donate to the restoration. Historically signifcant to me. The big surprise in the article is that his Dad, probably the first generation beyond slavery, was, at the least, a skilled worker in a local industry, had land, which would imply money coming in...
