Just been on BBC Rad 1 news that shops are facing record shoplifting. No link can't find it on the BBC news website to confirm what I thought I heard.
Looks like we are having a shoplifting recovery.

i really dont know which is the worst.
shoplifting a pack of Rolo's from nesbits corner shop,
or flipping a 2nd property onto some other poor sap for an extra £50,000
most of the storm drain grates on my local streets have been nicked - presumably for scrap - recently
other day, my train into Leeds was delayed by 20 minutes as apparently some of the signal cable had been stolen

This doesn't surprise me. If I don't shave for a few days and wear my camo jacket I am regularly followed by security in my local Tescos (I've never shoplifted anything in my life). Meanwhile the kids in front of me go unobserved while pretending to scan their stuff on the self checkout before walking out scott-free.
Whatever they teach on security guard training school ain't working....
