And the long-term unemployment rate — the share of the unemployed population out of work for more than six months — also continues to set records. It is now 35.6 percent . I'd like to see backup for this number. Our local paper has a pretty good sized help wanted section.

one of the problems noted is that employers have learned to cope and employees have been much more productive, so, since the currently employed have been able to cope, and the employers do not have to hire another person it is working out fine, except that those jobs that were lost are going to remain unfilled because now they are not needed. i think it is time to be much less productive ...

The continuing slow death of the last dregs of our manufacturing sector guarantee all future "recoveries" will be jobless as well.
