I don't remember her actually seeing him (in the Red Keep). I think she just overheard them talking. No, I guess if a desription were provided, then she actually saw him, eh?

Wasn't Jaqen supposed to be a high ranking faceless man..But in the story he get's caught ...wut did he get caught for and who caught him...cause i am pretty sure faceless men are supposed to be some stealthy guys, always canging there appereances.....but anyway can someone ...

Shack, that is your real welcome into the club. Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Don't worry about it because it's no big deal noticing something and posting regarding it and then finding out that the topic's been done before.
If it'll make you feel better, I'll tell you that I once posted a completely new observation and hypothesis... then TK immediately posted and said that it was an old ...

It relies on the assumption that Jaqen got ...

You could be right Viz. He does have a history as mummer but that is an unchecked and unconfirmed claim that he has made that could be a smokescreen to put Littlefinger and other members of the Small Council off. Here is what is written up about him in Wiki: Lord Varys, called "the Spider," is the enigmatic Master of Whisperers, or spymaster, for the Iron Throne of Westeros. A bald, fat eunuch of stylish dress, he usually...
Re: Jaqen H'ghar TK, I think that Eddard, Arya (unknowingly), Tyrion, Shae, and Jaime all caught glimpses of Varys in costume (or drag, if you prefer). I definitely felt that Varys changed his appearance as a mummer (an actor) would by using makeup, props, clothing, and body language. I did not get the feeling that his change of appearance was at all similar to the change of countenance that Jaqen showed Arya. Jaqen changed his face and...
I think Varys is just a really great make-up artist. Wasn't he a part of a travelling mummer's show or something? Aren't mummers the ASOIAF equivalent of actors? I'm not being sarcastic with my questions..my memory is getting rusty. I should do a reread like you. Also, Varys' position doesn't really seem like a Faceless Man's style. Magic just wouldn't fit within the world so far. There's very...
Yeah it would have to be a financially backed Varys (with Illyrios money) because I doubt there was enough time to get a message from KL to the Free Cities then hire a faceless guy and have him travel back to KL. So that means Jaqen was on retainer and nearby or already hired and on his way to kill Eddard before he got deposed by Cersei. Remember it was Varys who brought Eddard the offer of taking the black. Was it his suggestion as well?
I think the obvious solution is that Syrio is actually Ned, who is actually alive, having faked his own decapitation (the old 'pull the head down into the sweater' routine gets 'em every time). Ned is soon to return, riding Lady, with his pockets full of dragons, to tell Jon that he is actually his trueborn, legitimate son. Together, they will then go to where Robb and Un-Cat have been waiting (pretending to be dead after...

Yeah, she definately saw Mopatis in the Red Keep with Varys. That's been proven by the descriptions written, but what we are not sure of 100% is the theory of Mopatis being in the Faceless Mans' Temple. GRRM has stated on occasion the we should pay attention to the characters states of mind. Sansa remembers the Hound kissing her when he wanted a song, but in fact, the Hound never kissed her at all. GRRM went on to say that he puts...
Re: Jaqen H'ghar ADwD Spoilers: Varys' story about traveling with mummers is at least somewhat confirmed by Mopatis in one of the Tyrion spoiler chapters floating around out there. Last edited by IlliferThePenniless; 11th November 2009 at 01:24 AM .. Reason: clarity

In my opinion the case of Syrio calls for the assumption he is not dead after all. Why else did martin conceal his death so...
