CP....Stunning...thats all I can say. Only downside to a Ducati in ATL is ya gotta put up with Bowie!!! Yeah...I forget when, but Doug, Me, JW, and Dave Brock wound up at Bowies, on a sun, drinkin beer, and looking at Ducati books, then the Ducs in the basement.....those are nice, and can be turned into Bowies ....not sure if thats good or bad What exactly do you have up your ...

When I was back in HS I lusted after a Triumph Bonneville, a Bultaco Metralla, and a Ducati Diana....but my $725 bought a new CB350 instead

The engine is a bored and stroked 450 taken out to 496 CC i posted a pic of the new 78 mm stroke crank before the lefthand crankcase got reinforced by welding a plate into it otherwise the case can crack were the alternator wire org goes thru we then made a sleeve for the bearing that extends into the welded in plate at first we used Nova close ratio gears but i had stronger and widers gears made in a bigger module that stand up to the...

Hi Robin when i was at the Isle of Man in 2004 ( as a spectator ) one of Nigel Lacey s customers Francis Taylor was using the self generating PVL unit so what is there to experiment ? it run like a charm Eldert

Eldert What ignition do you use?Lucas,Dyna or? I surprised all riders on 1981, in Zolder, during Ducati days,when I used a Motoplat ignition instead of alternator on my 450 Duc!

Someone here in the US is experimenting with a self generating PVL system totally enclosed behind the clutch case. The 250 Ducati it was on ran perfectly for practice and 4 races at the AHRMA event at Barber in October.

No one here had tried it. I saw bikes in the UK running the PVL off the timing gear on the right hand side in the late 90's. The problem with this was it stuck out a long way and was very exposed. One bloke fell off his Ducati at the hairpin at Mallory and the engine kept running, spinning the bike round and round on the ignition.
