Thread: Issues Posting On Market Talk? Comment Here.
Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by Veteran_Lender
Have you had issues or difficulty posting here on Market Talk? Frustrated by having to validate your comment by copying a sequence of hard to decipher letters and numbers? Disappearing posts? Why was my post deleted? What does **** mean in my post? Why was my post hidden? Does correct use of grammar and proper spelling matter? Did you run across SPAM, Foul Language or veiled Profanity post?...
VL I had a new posting yesterday accepted then before it returned tell me the posting did not remain..The system froze so I went out and came back. Sure enough the posting was not there. Also Yesterday morning I read a line of about six posting but when I checked after reading them there was only two left. Thank-you, Bi Metal Au Pt
VL: I have made a number of posts that don't seem to show up for a long time. Thinking that something has gone haywire, I re-post, only to have two identical posts appear a few minutes later.
VL, I just got it to repeat the problem.. The post lost my ID..Solution, Opened a new tab and signed in.. After that the original tab worked.. I also got the error problem as above.. but i had received the same error report and it did in fact show up as sent two times..I did not re-enter it as the editor did not clear.. this was about a week ago. Some of the spell check words are not correct....
Thanks guys... I've alerted management to this thread and your comments. More posting is better... preferably with more description of what you were doing when the event occurred. As I get feedback on what it is, I'll post it here as well. V_L
I keep a "dummy" hotmail e-address for out-going responses to first-time contacts on my websites. It ends up being the trash bin for SPAM and direct contact solicitation. Indeed, they are very clever. So clever that WE get to complete that number/letter match anytime we are sending out group messages or copying links. Oh well... thanks other Moderators for posting here!
It appears that MSN has decided to change their page layouts. I clicked on Money as usual, and there was no Message Boards link! I had to hunt for it. WHY??? Why make people click on "More" in order to get to the message boards? Web pages should have all content listed, period. No links for "More." Every time changes like this are implemented, it only results in slower-loading ...
Sometimes I think that msn and other sites worry too much about spam. Does anybody read it? I think msn is spending too much money and degrading their product trying to stomp out every last bit of it. Reminds me of the guy that spends hundreds of dollars each year polluting the environment to get rid of crab grass.
Good point mlsjapan07. I see msn has removed one of the news blocks from the money page and put ads in its place (legal spam). I'm also noticing more drifting pop ups on the main page (annoying). This is why I watch very little tv.
Hey neohguy, Exactly. The "improvements" don't ever seem to improve things for the viewer, only the advertisers. Pay attention, MSN! Viewers don't like it! There is no good reason to bury the message boards link.
I just wanted to let you guys know that the Boards Team is working on the issues you have raised. I dont know if they will be able to fix everything, but I wanted you to know that your Moderators sent me threads where you highlighted the issues, they were compiled and sent to the folks who work on the Boards. It's a slow process but your issues have been heard! Thanks for all the info!...
If I didn't know what?I was looking for, I might have given up the search. Is Microsoft trying to discourage new contributors? Old & Gray, My thoughts exactly.? I get the feeling they want us to read the content they provide and not opine quite so much.? The current FCC director (or one of the czars, perhaps) wants to institute an internet neutrality doctrine.? I don't much like the sound of that.? I would hate to type out...
V_L ? My granddaughter e-mailed this to me. The shorter entry appeared first in a dialogue box and the longer text, marked "Untitled", was in a window similar to a EULA window. ? She was able to pull it up after a little experimentation. ? Text #1 from dialog box. ? Seems like any post that slams the Wall Street crooks and/or the media mafia that spins their webs gets erased or edited.? We have plenty of those threads here. ? Or are you just whining about?your Tiger morality thread?? Again.
