Started 3 years, 7 months ago by akJohnny
I guess with Sharon out of the picture now, there won't be any late night bombing of Iran's nuclear facility?

I don't think Israel or US for that matter will attack Iran. It is not going to happen... not in near future at least!

akJohnny replied 3 years, 7 months ago
I'm curious. What makes you say that? If Iran doesn't comply with the IAEA, what other option is there? Sanctions? They've already stated that sanctions would be just as bad as an attack. Do we let them build nuclear bombs to hand over to homicide bombers in Iraq or? Personally, I think they need to be taken down a peg or two. However, it would be nice if one of our allies took the risk.

There is too much at stake and as far as I see it, US military is too busy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Attacking Iran would destablise the region, push Iraq back another 20 years and who knows what Shia population in Iraq and Afghanistan will do if Iran which is 90% shia is attacked. Attacking Iran is not going to be same as attacking Iraq or Afghanistan. The support of world community is at ...

I see your point. I just think the stakes are too high to ignore. I also want to see a peaceful resolution, but I don't think the Islamic world will be satisfied until it has rid the planet of all Christians (or non-Muslims) I also think that if Iran does develop nuclear weapons, the first thing it will do is wreak major havoc in the Middle East with Israel being it's primary target, thereby ...

OK, bro, I can be banned from this site for voicing my opinion? The Muslims that are being bombed and killed in Iraq, as far as I can tell, are seen as collaborators with the infedels . This serves to fuel terror in the region, split the governing bodies, and stifle any kind of progress area. Maybe I should have stated "radical Islamic fundamentalists, Islamafascists, or Islamic terrorists" who...

You don't get banned for voicing your opinion as long as it is respectful to the other parties/people, etc.

I am so tired of people arguing that they have a right to voice their opinion, even if it offensive to me, and yet I am not allowed to voice my opinion because it is offensive to them. Thunderbolt reminds me of the time my wife and I were threatened with death just because we quoted Thomas Jefferson "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and ...

I do not think Isreal is going to attack Iran. Israel has already tasted the bitter defeat in Lebanon which smaller and armless compared with Iran. Israel may seek the classic solution by provoking the USA to do the job.Having said that, Why its permissable for Israel to have the the sixth largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world whearas Iran is not permitted to have a nuclear program ...

I believe the current American policy towards Iran is much better than the Bush's. Having said that, the Zionists in the USA represented by (AIPAC) and other affiliated organizations will do their best to avert the present policy. Israel has succeeded in destroying Iraq by the USA. The USA is still paying a high price in Iraq. The only beneficiary of the Iraqi is still Israel. Israel wants the USA people, economy, military power, and...

Perhaps one of the biggest problems Islam is suffering with is: it is the violent Islamists who get all the publicity. Islam has no leader alive today who can speak with authority for the religion and denounce these fiends. Mohammed made sure of that by stating that he was the final prophet. Thus, there is no authority which all Muslims agree upon. They cannot agree upon what the Quran actually means in many places. Christianity is not better...

There was a time when I believed that rational thought and Diplomacy dictated White House policy. Sadly that time is past and the present is a time of White House idiocy and irrational behavior. An attack on any enemy, real or imagined under the lunacy of the bush crime regime is a very real possibility. Add to the equation that gw is a paranoid ego-maniac whose base of support is faltering and his reign of terror is coming to an end...
