Did anyone think that the opening was like a Prison Break style chase, where a black 4x4 sneaks up from behind. I was expecting this to be the opening of some conspiracy because of the dramatic way it was shot and cut, but none of it materialised into anything. Because the film takes a different course, you forget all about it. It all seemed a bit unnecessary to me. Does anyone agree?

Yeah, it sucked. I couldn't even finish it. I got as far as the neighbor girl's party and had to turn it off. Filler, filler, filler. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, something to draw me in. Too late, I gave up. I have no idea if the old guy really was a serial killer or not, but I don't care. And just as an aside, Bart Simpson did a much better remake of Rear Window ...

&quot;Funhouse&quot; is one of my favorite albums. Seeing that in the movie was really cool, I had actually just been talking to my friends watching the movie with about the Stooges and how they're amazing moments before I noticed the album on his wall. I actually think it was an LP sleeve rather than a calender, but I could be wrong. SPOILER ALERT: Soylent Green is, in fact, people.

Exactly the same reaction. The Stepfather though is also a remake of a 1987 horror film of the same name. The preview might as well just called the film &quot;Disturbia 2: The Stepfather&quot;. It has so many similarities from Stepfather to this film.

I think 2004-2006 was the official era of pg-13 horror suckfests.Remember?The grudge,white noise,and let's not forget boogeyman!Luckily I'd say this movie put an end to that because Disturbia seems to prove that a pg-13 horror can infact be good!
